Hair & Eyebrows Regrowth NEW DISCOVERY!
Dear Esteemed Patient,
After many years of reading about potential hair loss treatments and seeing many claims for hair regrowth come and go, I recently had the opportunity to witness how Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), mixed with a combination of Vitamin D3, B vitamins and minerals truly stimulates hair regrowth in men ANDwomen! If you or someone you know has suffered with thinning hair or even hair loss, this amazing and natural procedure may be your answer!
Our blood contains small components such as red cells, white cells, and platelets. Platelets, however, have numerous proteins called growth factors which are essential for healing and regenerative processes. For many years, Orthopedic Surgeons and other physicians have used PRP therapy on athletes such as Tiger Woods in order to promote faster healing and tissue regeneration as well as speed the healing process. But now, this amazing therapy is being embraced by Cosmetic Surgeons due to its remarkable improvement in procedure outcomes! For example, when I perform autologous fat transfer surgery with PRP, my patients have seen impressive improvements and results.
One may first ask how injecting the scalp with these components can stimulate hair growth. Because platelets contain numerous growth factors, these vascular, endothelial and connective tissue growth factors combined with other components called cytokines, contribute to the stimulation of dormant hair follicles and thickening of thinning hair follicles. It also has been noted that when the hair regrows that it comes in as its native hair color, rather than grey!
The procedure begins by obtaining 60cc of blood from the patient's arm. That blood is then placed in a special laser guided centrifuge system which separates the red blood cells from the PRP which takes about 20 minutes. During that time, the scalp is numbed with both topical creams as well as injections of lidocaine. Once numb, the scalp is injected with the vitamin and mineral mixture as well as with an ACell solution. ACell is a porcine bladder derivative which has been successfully used in hair transplantation surgery for years.
The PRP injection is then performed. The final process of the procedure is completed using a micro needling device to create very fine holes in the scalp. A byproduct of the PRP system is "PPP" which is platelet poor plasma. PPP has growth factors but to a lesser degree than PRP. This solution is spread on top of the scalp and will be left there overnight. The patient is then instructed to wash their hair the following morning. The total office time is about 60 to 90 minutes. Women usually need one treatment and men need 2 treatments, 2 months apart. If you or someone you know can benefit from this amazing procedure, please call our office at 770-416-000 to schedule your free cosmetic consultation!
As always, I thank you for your constant support and for allowing me to better serve you as your trusted cosmetic physician.
Sincerely,
