Contour… AND Enhance? You Can When You Have Dr. Louis Cole

Dear Cole Patient,

Spring is in full swing and in no time warm weather will be here. For most of us, the idea of this year being the "year of change" was easier to believe a few months ago. Once the weather starts to warm up, many of us start to feel defeated and convince ourselves it is too late to make a change.

Fortunately, safer and minimally-invasive advancements in our field have changed all that. Trust me when I tell you that IT IS NOT TOO LATE to make a change!

Cosmetic surgery has come a long way in the last 15 to 20 years especially after lasers were introduced. But no surgical technique has been more revolutionary than...liposuction!

When people think of liposuction, aka "lipo", they usually think of the old-school, highly-invasive, back-and-forth motion they once saw on an episode of Nip Tuck. Boy, have we advanced!

Nowadays, instruments are so much smaller now- we use micro-lasers & micro-canulas; Downtime is now just 2-3 days (as opposed to 2-3 weeks like before); Safety is at its highestsince it's now performed using local anesthetics (known as tumescent fluid) versus general anesthesia. But, none of these benefits even compare to the one challenge our lasers can finally address: SKIN!!

You see, back then with traditional lipo (say, the 80's) the problem was never removing fat. The problem was the remaining loose skin which often times would have to be cut (hence how tummy tucks became so popular). Upon advancing and implementing the use of a laser, we were able to not only liquify the fatty tissue, but more importantly, induce skin tightening through thermal heating and tissue coagulation. THE RESULT: a smaller, tighter area!

And what can we do with fatty tissue once it is removed from an area in our bodies? Simple- reuse it in another area (better known as fat transfer procedures like Brazilian Butt Lift and Natural Breast Augmentation).

So, whether you are looking to have a body-makeover, sculpt a certain area, or simply add curve to your backside, this is the time to do it.

But remember, contouring and enhancing is an art... not a factory-line skill that you do by the masses. As your cosmetic surgeon, I guarantee you have a physician in me who will help identify the personal changes that are right FOR YOU, all while providing you with the safest care.

Sincerely,

Louis D. Cole, M.D.
